Lots of things to do
It's Monday, 27 September 2004, 20:32 now. Still stay at school to prepare layout for my presentation assignment. I can't do it now because I still wait replied email for the interview. So far I've got 4 leaders emails. My assignment will be presented next Monday, so at least I still have time to do it. Not like me, some of my friends have to presented on this Wednesday. I have read chapter 1 for International Business and I have done my home work for Written Business Communication yesterday so I can relax for a while. But I must read Chapter 5-6 for Wednesday Leadership class. And Thursday have to read Marketing and Negotitation. Wow..it's a bit taft coz when i was in my undergraduate, we weren't required to read the book before class. That's a big different between Indonesian education and US.
Last Saturday, we had bbq with Jemba and Chemba students. David was the host and his house got a very beautiful view. It's good at the first untill the crazy things happened, where the guys start to throw people to the pool. I was almost be the victim and luckly I was saved by the police because when they try to grab me, I hold tight the rope and scream very loud so it really a big noise outside. I don't want get wet cos I was in period. That's not good right??
And now I got bruise at my arm. After the police went, they didn't give up on me, so I just went inside the house to find a safe place and asked for Mike's help, the big guy :D
After almost 70% people were threw in the pool, we played another game, it's called chubby bunny, where you have to say "chubby bunny" with the mouth full of mashmallow, it's really a funny game. The one who can say it must drink beer. After the chubby bunny, the beer competition started, with the guys first and then the girls. I took part of it. hahahaha..it's unforgetable moment. I didn't know what the party end cos I went home at 12.00 with the drunken driver, Yoshi. Hehehehe, honestly I was quite worried.
On Sunday morning I woke up at 7.30 and then my host mom took me to her church named Word of Life. It's Christian Church and you know what, when I came in to the room and heard they singing, my heart beat so fast and I wanted to cry. I don't know what happened. I still can't go to the Catholic church because I don't where it is and I don't have vehicle. I hope I will get my bike soon so I can find. After from the church, we went to Drive Inn for lunch and I ate Lau Lau, the Hawaiian food, where the vegetable and pork . It's kind like "daun singkong dikukus " in Indonesia. hehehehe
After lunch, we went home and I stayed at home for the whole day and reading my books and honestly I didn't get it :((
I took a nap for 1 hour and woke up and started read again, I have to prepare :D

Monday, 20 September 2004.
The ICMPs will have an EIL (English as International Language) interview with Mr. Smith from 09.00 - 12.00. My turn is 11.30 so I went to school around 10.00.
It's a kind of interview simulation and was recorded. Very nervous. The purpose is to compare students English before and after take course in JAIMS. I don't think I did well :(
The whole class finished at 16.50, but we can't go home because at 17.00 there was a guest, Mr. Jack Sullivan, promoted the annual Honolulu Marathon event on December 12.
I went home and did the laundry.
Tuesday, 21 September 2004.
Today class started at 8.30 for Written Business Communication and followed by Intercultural Negotiation which is a interesting lecture because the lecturer, Mr. Barkai, used toys to simulated. The last class is guess speaker, Yutaka Saito, ICMP F2003, for sharing his workshop for "What is Coaching?". After the class, we went to Zippy's Restaurant and then we went to Tantalus Hills, a beautiful peak to see the Hawaii City. There was a embrassing moment for on the way to the Tantalus. The car's radio was broke down so it's very boring. Then Kiyo started the idea to make noise by singing the anthem of everybody and started from me. I started singing, and guess what, I forgot the lyrics start the 2nd line..huahauahuaa, everybody laughing at me and they gave me homework to sing it another time..what a shame!!!
Wednesday, 22 September 2004.
Today our class was listening to the ICMP 2004S student presented their BEP. It started from 8.30 - 15.00. After the class, me, yoshi, mariko, keiko and taka went to Costco where I thought it's a hypermarket. I was wrong, it's a whole sale shop like makro in Indonesia.
At the night, my classmates went to The Shack to know more about BEP with the last semester's ICMPs. I planned not to join coz I don't do the BEP and have anything to do there, but Sam "membujuk" me, Beth and Mon to join. Then we went there around 19.00 till 20.30.
I got to do my Leadership presentation and read the book for Leadership and Negotiation. I didn't do it cos I was too sleepy..ohh oww, what's naughty girl!!
Thursday, 23 September 2004.
Got to woke up early to continue reading books. FYI, I can't concentrate and I don't understand the reading at all. Besides, I have a morning class at 8.30..
Today's class finished at 20.20 for Marketing Class. The lecturer has no teaching background so she can't teach the class well. She is a managing director in a communication company, actually I like her style. She looks cool!!!
After class, I go home directly coz I have to read leadership for prepraring tomorrow's presentation.
Friday, 24 September 2004.
Today woke up at 06.00 cos I have to go to downtown for Hawaii State ID. We have to pay $15 for Administration. It's very easy and convenience, not like Indonesia so many bearaucracy. I went there with Ken, Kong, Beth and Mon. After that we go to Ala Moana Shopping Center, the biggest shopping center in Hawaii.
Since we have class at 14.00, we must go back by 13.00. Before back to JAIMS, we stopped by at Hard Rock Cafe to buy the shirt hehehehe...I am Hard Rocker :D
The leadership class finished at 16.50 with a lot of assignments. *not good hah* week end with many assignment.

Hanauma Bay
On Sunday 19 September 2004, we(me, keiko, yoshi, akira, kiyo, ken, eiji) went to Hanauma Bay. What's a beautiful place!!! It's really hot there and I got darker (but still white hehehehe)
Sun bathing, playing volleyball, swimming, it's really fun!! Since Eiji had appointment, we got to go by 12.30. We had our lunch at chinese restaurant and had yam cha. After that, I joined kiyo, keioko and yoshi go around to waikiki, daiei, k-mart and kahala mall. Around 5 pm, Sam called Yoshi and Kiyo, invite to his host family and had dinner. His host family is Mr. Steven Cupchoy whom I sent email when I looked for homestay. They are nice and friendly too. His wife is Indonesian..
We met their last semester tenant, Hideaki from Japan. We had a great time, the dinner is delicious. And we got to back around 9 pm.
It's really fun!!!
Beach Clean up & BBQ
It's a really fun day!!!
Today woke up morning because we had to clean up the beach with Rotary Club for community service.
Come to the school by 7.45. We go to the Queen Beach..wow..it's so windy and absolutley hot..I go with Yoshi's car.
We finished the work at 9.00 and went back to JAIMS to discuss about the BBQ plan.
Then we went to Safeway to buy the food. Wow..Taka's place is really cool, so many amenities!!!
Swimming pool, billiard, sauna, jacuzzi, cool right???
We played games and mostly were Japanese games because most of us are from Japan.
But it's really fun and crazy ^_^
Today is really tiring and exciting day.
I'll go back to house in a while, it's almost 18.30 now, so go home to iron my clothes.
By the way, last night I went to play tennis after class, wow..u know what, tennis is fun too, I can hit the play and do the service now, hahahaha..thanks to my coach Kiyo and Sam.
Since I don't have pc nor notebook at home, I won't write tomorrow, but that's ok, I'll write again on Monday..

Well I'm glad finally can write in my blog again after 2 days being busy with my assignment.
Let me refresh my memory, what has happened these 3 days.
September 15, 2004
08.30 - 11.00 the non credit course start with Fundamental writing Part 1, the lecturer named Derek Otsuji. To be a good writing, you must practice, start with a journal. that's why i am writing in English now (may be only for today hahahaha)..we are asked to make a resume.
after this class, we have a long long break, so the whole class go for lunch together. Since there are 16 people with different food favorable, so we separate into several groups. And gather again on 13.30 in front of Safeway. Today is Taka's bday (Takashi), we prepare a surprise bday party tonight after the class finish.
17.30 - 20.30 the other non credit course - Critical Thinking Part 1 start with 2 lecturer named Irish & Michael. This course is very interesting and full of game and presentation. It's pretty fun and not boring at all. After the class, my host mom brought me a dinner chicken rice and noodle, yoghurt & biskuit. There is so much things for me. To reduce the Taka's suspicious, Kiyo asked Jemba and Chemba students' help by saying it's a welcome party from them.
Then we start a game, a funny and messy game but then changed to other game. Drink competition. We intent to make Taka win in this game, close his eye to choose lucky draw and when he open his eyes, yoshi played ukelele and sing happy bday song along with the bday cake. Taka was very surprised. After that we hang out to The Shack, I drank 2 glass draught beer :D
don't get drunk cos I have to make about my resume and thinking about the presentation for Critical thinking case.
Then I slept at 2 am and woke up at 7 am
September 16, 2004
The Fundamental writing Part 2, start at 8.30. Today we were taught how to make a profile and tips to make resume.
After break 1.5 hour for lunch, we have class for MS Excel start 12.30 till 3.20. And then at 5.30 the Critical Thinking Part 2 started till 8.20.
Today's school finished at 22.00 because there is a elective course registration and we received the books.
My host mom brought me a dinner again but I took it back home and ate it because there is no time for that.
At home, I prepare everything for tomorrow.
Today was a very busy day.
September 17, 2004
Woke up by the alarm on 5.50, I must do laundry..and then prepare the cloth and take a bath. After had breakfast my host mom gave a ride to school. This week, she took me to school everyday.
Final session of The Fundamental writing started at 8.30 and we were taught how to make a research paper.
After 1.5 hours, still stick out with the computer skill for power point. By the way the lecturer named Debbie Harada.
And then the orientation Takuma Yamamoto e-Learning Center, where we can borrow and stay there for studying.
The Critical Thinking Part 3 will be start soon. We are preparing for a presentation for a murder case that happen in Hawaii.

dodol dehh
2nd day at school..pagi ini mulai jam 83.0 - 11.00 ada test toiec. and guess what, gue gak kelar, kurang waktu...aduhh dodol bgt dehh..maluuuu
kayaknya semuanya dah pada kelar gitu..sebel dehh..ya sudah lah..emang dah nasib kali yaa..trus 2 kali ke toilet, 2 kali tangan gue ke pentur pintu..apakah hari ini emang sial ya??
hmm, btw ntar akhir program ini, ada test toiec lagi, sapa tahu meningkat hehehehe
hari dikasi uang ama sekolah, jadi dah ada duit dehh, tapi tetap harus disimpan and digunakan dg sebaik2nya. trus urus insurance segala..
minggu ini sekolah msh blm padat tapi dah mulai seharian di sekolah. ntar jam 6 ada student-faculty session, gak tahu deh apa tuh, yg pasti ampe jam 8 dehh. host mom gak blg "u call me later and i'll pick u up" gimana ya..kalo ada yg mau antarin sich bagus tapi kalo gak, gue mesti jalan kaki 20 menit di tengah kegelapan deh..ohh god..help me!!
hari ini gue sarapan roti pake telor, trus utk lunch gue dikasi sandwich, yoghurt ama pisang ama host mom, trus diantarin lagi ke sekolah..
ok deh gue makan yoghurtnya dulu soalnya laper nichh
First day at school
Halo, skrg lagi di lab computer. Hari ini adalah orientasi buat murid baru.
Kita mulai cerita dr kemarin sore deh.
Stlh inep 1 malam di tempat layton, 12 sept sore (4.30) gue telp Jamie Chong, host family yg pengen gue temuin.
Ternyata dia dah balik dr encounter, akhirnya dia jemput gue di seven eleven and rumah cukup enak, plus dia nyiapin 3 kali makan yg sehat krn suaminya adalah dokter. Stlh gue deal, dia bantu antarin gue balik ke tempat layton ambil luggage gue. Sebulan $600 and deposit nya $500. Stlh pindah, gue balik lagi ke rumah layton krn dia blg mau ngajak gue ke gereja tapi tenyata gue telat krn misanya mulai jam 5.30 so gak ke gereja deh. Tapi tetap tungguin dia balik krn mau pamitan, sekalian mau byr utk tinggal 1 malam. Akhirnya hampir jam 7an dia balik ke rumahnya, mandi, and antarin gue ke tempat Jamie. Sampe rumah gue mandi and beres2 and ngurus pembayaran. Tidur gak gitu nyenyak (bangun mulu) mungkin krn Jamie cerita kalo dulu di tempatnya pernah ada murid dr jepang bunuh diri, so agak seram dikit. Tapi gue yakin Bunda Maria and Yesus bakal lindungi gue. Btw, Jamie adalah Kristen, jadi gue agak pusing nich gimana cara ke gereja ya, krn rata2 murid sini org jepang, thai, cambodia ama phil.
Gue blm tahu sich org phillipines itu katolik roma apa bukan. blm sempat ngobrol jauh. oh iya, ada 1 murid dr indo juga yg byr atas biaya sendiri.
Hari ini gue dikasi breakfast oatmeal ama telor rebus, minum jus..pagi2 host family gue dah exercise, angkat beban, sit up, wahh gila dehh, mereka bangun jam 5 utk olahraga. tiap hari pasti beda olahraganya. katanya besok mau hiking..gue pengen ikutan sich tapi liat dulu deh mereka selesainya jam berapa soalnya sekolah kadang mulai jam 8, kadanga mulai jam 8.30.
asik bgt di sini, semuanya ramah2 and bener2 fun dehh..
biarpun siang ini gue dpt lunch dr sekolah tapi host mom gue kasi gue snack (pisang ama wafer), takutnya gue laper. dia guru hula ama babysitter. orgnya lucu and penuh expresi kalo ngobrol.
bentar lagi session utk lab abis so cabut dulu yaa...
